Why no Google Ads? We realize Google Ads would generate advertising for the site, which we could then use to bring in more customers. However, we feel the amount of revenue that can be generated would be small, and the ads try to lure customers off of the site. Maintenance of the ads and ensuring our competition is not shown would also require time, which we could spend elsewhere on the site. Removing the ads also creates less clutter for the site, creating a cleaner website for the customer.
Am I a Professional?
If you own a cat you are not qualified to be a Pet Professional. Owning a computer does not make one a Computer Professional. Homeschooling children does not qualify one to be a Homework Professional.
You must have an advanced area of knowledge for your profession of choice.
How do I become a New Professional? First, see the above FAQ titled "Am I a Professional?" After reading the above, simply register for the category you are a professional by using our Registration System . Please note that MyOnlinePros.com is for Professionals who make part or all of their living in the category in which they are registered.
Why am I not allowed to register in multiple categories? MyOnlinePros insists on the highest quality of Professionals in each category. Professionals should register in the category they make their professional living in. Each Professional is automatically enrolled in the "General" category as well as their specific category. If you believe you are eligible to be a Professional in more than one category email info@myonlinepros.com with your request. Each request will be reviewed on a case by case basis.
What are the Professional Levels?
There are three levels for Professionals: 1. New Professional 2. Full Professional 3. Elite Professional How do I become a Full Professional? After 20 paying customers your account will be reviewed to see if you qualify to become a Full Professional. How do I become an Elite Professional? Because there is only a limited need for Elite Pros, the need will be filled by invitation only. Roles of an Elite Professional Elite Professionals act as mentors and ensure quality answers within their specific category. In exchange for the extra work an Elite Professional does on the site they receive a higher earnings payout. Any Elite Professional who no longer wishes to perform the duties of an Elite Professional may be moved to Full Professional status at the discretion of Administration. An Elite Professional may also lose Elite status if they violate the rules of MyOnlinePros.com or abuse the privileges and powers of being an Elite Professional.
How much money can I make as a Professional? The amount you earn depends on many factors including: the category you are a Professional in, the quality of your answers, the amount of time you spend answering questions, and luck!
What does each level of Pro earn?
New Pro: 25% of paid answers and 50% of Bonus Established Pro: 50% of paid answers and 80% of Bonus Elite Pro: 60% of paid answers and 90% of Bonus
What is "reporting" on MyOnlinePros? MyOnlinePros relies on Elite Professionals from each category to monitor and evaluate the answers of other Professionals. Administration evaluates these reports to determine if further action in needed, including and up to banning of a Professional from MyOnlinePros.com. I have been reported by another Professional. What should I do? If you feel the report is not valid or you would like to dispute it, use the "Dispute this report" link in the email notification. Correct Answer Report When another Pro gives an answer you think is correct, very good, or worthy of praise, the "Correct Answer" report can be used to let them and the customer know. Needs More Information Report Did the customer post a question that might have multiple answers, but a Pro answered assuming one scenario? The "Needs More Information" report is a great way to send the Pro a note letting them know more clarification might be needed. Broken Image or Link Report Linking to other websites or images is sometimes helpful when answering a question. If you see another Pro inserted a link that is broken, use the "Broken Image or Link" report to let the Pro know. Cut and Paste Report
Pros should not copy and paste answers without proper permission or rights to do so. If you suspect a Pro is violating this policy Admin will look into it. Possible TOS Violation Report
This report is used when a Pro believes another Pro has violated the Terms of Service on MyOnlinePros. Bad Answer Report This report is used by Elite Pros to report answers they believe are of a poor quality, incorrect, inappropriate, or in poor taste. Admin will review these answers to determine is further action is needed. Ban Request Report This report is used by Elite Pros when they believe a Pro should be removed from MyOnlinePros. This report is used when a Pro repeatedly has poor answers, and mentoring from the Elite Pro has not improved answers. Refund Request Report This report is used when a Pro sees that a customer has requested a refund in their question. Spam Report If a question posted is "Spam" this report can be used. Close Question Report This report can be used to request a question be closed. Duplicate Question Report This report is used when a customer posts the same question more than one time. Non Paying Customer Report This report is used for customers who have shown they are unwilling to "Pay the Pro" on a regular and reasonable basis. Illegal Report This is used when the customer is asking MyOnlinePros to help them in illegal activities.
Why aren't deposits required when posting the question? Many customers are hesitant to deposit money to any website. By allowing the customer to post their question for free the process is "risk free" for them. Once they receive an answer from a qualified Professional they will gain confidence and place a deposit on their question. Which questions should I answer? Only answer questions you are certain you can answer correctly, and in a professional way. Our customers will receive a better experience, you won't waste time struggling to answer questions you shouldn't, and you are less likely to get reported by our Elite Professionals. Does a customer place a new deposit each time they ask a new question? To prevent abuse on MyOnlinePros we do not allow one deposit to be used for multiple questions.
Why are there disclaimers at the end of our answers? The disclaimers are there for your protection and the protection of MyOnlinePros.com. The Terms of Service (TOS) each customer accepts before registering on the site clearly states that each answer given on MyOnlinePros is an opinion only and not meant to replace a local, licensed and live professional evaluation. To ensure that each customer fully understands these terms we have placed disclaimers at the end of each answer in addition to the TOS. Please note: No disclaimer will protect from gross negligence!
